One way
The ferry takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours and depending on the season; it is a relatively easy ride.  During the winter months, the seas tend to be rougher.  If you sit up on the top deck, you will be able to watch the entire western coastline of Grenada go by, including the famous fishing village of Gouyave, www.gogouyave.com .   This ferry ride is a great way to take in the lavish beauty of Grenada, www.grenadagrenadines.com on the way to its sister isle of Carriacou.

You could also choose to fly in the tiny SVG (St. Vincent Grenadines) airplane, which seats 9 people and offers a stunning 15 minute flight from Grenada’s Point Saline’s airport to Cariacou’s one room Lauriston airport perched at the edge of Paradise Beach.  The kaleidoscope of blues and greens of the Caribbean Sea below is breathtaking.  The roundtrip price is approximately $250 E.C. or $93.00 U.S., and you must pay a few dollars for extra baggage weight over 44 pounds.  So, whether you opt for the ferry or the propeller hop, you will be rewarded with amazing vistas of Grenada and the mini islands strewn like pebbles across the sea between Grenada and Carriacou.

Upon arrival in Carriacou, the ferry dock is located in the main town of Hillsborough.  The town is pristine as it is cleaned every morning by public workers.  Hillsborough sits along the curve of a long, white sandy beach and the sparkling waters will entice you to jump in as you stroll along the storefronts.    With little commercial development to mar the natural beauty of this charming outpost, you will feel the real Caribbean seeping into your bones before you even reach your hotel
.
Known as the Land of Reefs, Carriacou is 13 sq miles, the largest of Grenada's sister islands. Its located north-east of the Mainland Grenada. Carriacou is packed with activities to fill your day. From world-class snorkeling and diving on some of the Caribbean's most pristine reefs to historical attractions and cultural landmarks, Carriacou offers something for everyone. And with a restaurant or bar around every bend, there is no shortage of good food, drink and entertainment.
